I am sure that to some, conversations regarding the Pandemic must be rather tiresome at this point. To others, it may be all that they want to talk and read about. Nevertheless, the fact remains that COVID-19 has influenced almost every decision we have made over the past two years, making it a necessary discussion point in my message.
The world was forced into a state of uncertainty and chaos, particularly during the Pandemic’s first year. Normalcy started to settle in from 2021 when the vaccination programs began to take effect, overriding the consternation in the current
Our customers and partners have always motivated us to work towards our purpose and staying the course during difficult periods. The COVID-19 pandemic was no exception. They have also taught us that stagnancy is never an option and that modernization is imperative for success. Following these cues, we upgraded our underwriting processes, enhanced employee efficiency and our intellectual capabilities. We also undertook the task of upgrading our technology platform and digitizing our business processes, the benefits of which will gradually become evident in 2022.
I am pleased to say that these efforts were fruitful as during CY2021, we posted a growth of 16.4% in the top line and 7.6% in the bottom line, the percentage increase of which was measured from a high base of 2020. Our underwriting income also regained its footing during this period, making our perpetual desire to achieve evident.
Our triumphs during 2021 will not engender complacency but will stimulate further growth. We remain committed to serving you in 2022 and beyond.
